"We wish to emphasize that, as of this moment, there is no evidence directly connecting our product to this heartbreaking tragedy. At Namib Mills, we take all allegations of food safety extremely seriously," stated senior brand manager Marné Bouwer.
Despite the lack of concrete evidence, Namib Mills has decided to recall the product not only in South Africa but also in neighboring countries such as Namibia, Zambia, and Lesotho. This precautionary step aims to reassure consumers and ensure public safety while investigations continue.
