E-hailing services have revolutionized the way we travel, making it effortless to get from one place to another with just a few taps on our phones. But not every ride is smooth sailing. One young woman's journey took a dramatic turn when a disagreement with her driver left her stranded—and her story went viral.

When a Ride Turns Into a Rant

Meet Khensile Mlangeni, a TikTok sensation known for her unfiltered content. Under the username @khensii_m, she posted a fiery clip of her interaction with a Bolt driver who accused her of messing up his Volkswagen. In the video, Khensile storms away from the car, shouting about being abandoned mid-ride and calling the driver a "rat-faced demon." Her caption? "Forget these promo codes!"

To set the record straight, Khensile uploaded a follow-up video on TikTok, where she spilled the tea on what really went down during her ill-fated ride. According to her, after testing out several e-hailing apps, she decided to go with Bolt for her latest trip. As soon as she hopped into the car, she greeted the driver—but, she claims, he didn't reciprocate.

Khensile explained that she asked the driver to pull over at a nearby shop so she could break a R100 note. Before leaving the car, she placed her Stanley dupe, filled with water, on the seat. While inside the store, she noticed the driver honking impatiently outside. "I wasn't even in there for a minute," she recalled.

Things escalated quickly when Khensile returned to the car. The driver sped off before she could fully close the door, causing her cup to tip over and soak the seat. She immediately tried to clean up the mess, wiping the wet spot with tissues. That's when the driver allegedly confronted her, saying, "So the next person that sits in this car must sit on a dirty seat?"

Khensile described a heated exchange over when she should have informed the driver about the spill. Things boiled over when the driver ordered her out of the car and demanded compensation. She claimed he even followed her after she exited the vehicle. When her father arrived on the scene and offered R50, the driver refused, insisting on more money. Ultimately, Khensile and her father left without resolving the issue.

Wrapping up her story, Khensile expressed frustration over her inability to report the driver. "I've been trying to report him but with no luck," she lamented. Check out the full video below:

Another E-Hailing Debate: Promo Deals Gone Wrong

In a separate incident, Briefly News covered a story about an e-hailing driver who rejected a passenger's R3 payment, thanks to a promo deal. The video sparked both laughter and sympathy online, reigniting debates about the fairness of such discounts for drivers. While promo codes can be a boon for passengers, they often leave drivers feeling shortchanged.
