Majoro's Vision: Recreating Sundowns' Magic

In an exclusive interview with FARPost, Majoro emphasized the importance of giving Nasreddine Nabi the time and resources he needs to settle into his role and construct the team of his dreams. He compared this process to what Mamelodi Sundowns achieved during Mosimane's transformative tenure.

The 38-year-old explained that Sundowns didn't become champions overnight. When they brought in Mosimane in 2012, it took roughly a year and a half before the club truly hit its stride. Majoro believes Kaizer Chiefs must embrace a similar long-term mindset if they're serious about reclaiming their former glory.

"I think we can step back and analyze what Sundowns accomplished under coach Pitso Mosimane," Majoro stated. "They embarked on a rebuilding phase, and it took Pitso about a year and a half before Sundowns became the powerhouse we all know today."

"Kaizer Chiefs must also navigate through this phase because, let's face it, there are no shortcuts in football. You need a coach who's committed for a substantial period. This allows the coach to build a competitive team and address any gaps in the squad."

Meanwhile, Coach Nabi himself has been urging Chiefs fans to temper their expectations and adopt a more realistic outlook for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
